From your blossoming garden

Heya all,
Been only too long since my last post here, I know.

Well, as a brief update: Been coping with heavier work duties this past semester culminating in pretty demanding (and draining) ones, and yours truly needs a good hiatus (a la sabbatical) away from the responsibilites she’s been delving in, of late.

So, here’s hoping all mine dear souls are keeping well, and just to add a ‘lil cheer your way, a much-needed weekend musing. :)
Take care all, minerva*

The Gardener (85)

By Rabindranath Tagore

Who are you, reader, reading my poems an hundred years hence?
I cannot send you one single flower from this wealth of the spring, one single streak of gold from yonder clouds.
Open your doors and look abroad.

From your blossoming garden gather fragrant memories of the vanished flowers of an hundred years before.
In the joy of your heart may you feel the living joy that sang one spring morning, sending its glad voice across an hundred years.

*Note to kindred souls: If you do have a wee bit of time, do catch the dear sir’s awe-inspiring movie, replete with his trademark breath-taking photographs, entitled “Home.” :)
