life-throb of ages

Hey all, thought this was rather beautiful.. A superb ‘lil video (I promise) 😉
Musing on the theme of Nature and its supreme beauty, i realised that one of the main reasons why i find myself hooked to great nature documentaries is *this man*.

Still remember sitting and staring all wide-eyed with ineffable wonder at the sheer beauty of Nature all green and pulsing with life – even moreso, with the advent of time-lapse photography – as Sir David Attenborough presented each species, according the deserved dignity to each. An amazing storyteller – after whom, yours truly’s favourite wildlife activist-presenter’s probably Mr Valmik Thapar, the strongest voice for the truly handsome Bengal tiger.

Bas. So there, enjoy!

Sir David Attenborough, and the versatile (oh yes) Lyrebird

***

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day
runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth
in numberless blades of grass
and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth
and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.
And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

~ Rabindranath Tagore
